Hardwick and Salters Lane
Vote Labour Thursday 4th May

Nigel Cooke & Norma Stephenson
Nigel Cooke
Nigel had many happy memories of his childhood in Hardwick, and has been a councillor here since 2011. He works for the NHS as a Clinical Skills Trainer, and is married with a grown-up daughter.
Norma Stephenson OBE
Norma is a resident of Hardwick who grew up on the estate. She has spent most of her adult working life in the NHS.
Norma is a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, with her extended family living in the ward.
Since being first elected in 2011 we have achieved many things by listening to and acting on behalf of local residents.
Amongst the many things we have achieved, we especially proud of the following;
- Being part of the committee that worked hard to take over the running of Hardwick Community Centre, ensuring that it did not fall into private hands.
- Refusing to lift the covenant on the Sheraton Pub, ensuring its future as a public house.
- Acting on behalf of the residents of Salters Lane by changing the name of the ward to include their community.
- Introducing our regular newsletter (Labour Voice) which is now 24 editions old.
- Ensuring that hundreds of residents received essential medicines, food, shopping and other essential services during the pandemic.
- Acting on behalf of the many residents who have requested our support on a whole range of issues, including, crime, antisocial behaviour, issues with their landlords, damp & mould, fly tipping, debt and benefit issues, obstructive parking, disabled parking bay requests, requests for dropped kerbs, noisy neighbours, faulty street lights, and a whole host of other issues that have impacted on their quality of life.
If elected in May, we will continue to fight hard for Hardwick & Salters Lane and stand up for local residents and businesses.
Norma & Nigel.

- Invested in redevelopment to support communities of our six towns and businesses.
- Reduced and kept frozen Councillor allowances.
