Newtown
Vote Labour Thursday 4th May

Marilyn Surtees
Marilyn Surtees
I have lived in the Newtown ward for 66 years and most of my family friends and neighbours live in the ward. Many people know me outside of my role as Councillor So, I am easily approachable. I am also very familiar with the issues Newtown faces as one of the most deprived areas in the borough.
Working in the community sector for over 40 years, working in projects involving mental health, learning disabilities, drug and alcohol addiction services, domestic violence, rape and sexual abuse counselling, I believe my extensive experience in community work is ideal for dealing with the problems and issues faced by the residents of Newtown.
Newtown needs someone who knows and understands the area to fight for its fair share of resources.
Our Key Pledges for Stockton on Tees
1. Help those hardest hit by the Cost of Living crisis.

3. Deliver more affordable and social housing.
4. Support the campaign for a new North Tees Hospital
5. Work with other Tees Valley Councils to provide better public transport
6. Complete the planned improvements to all our Town Centres/High Streets.
